Cape Dorset Beluga Whale and CalfHand carved by master artists of the First Nation Inuit community of Cape Dorset, Nunavut, in the Northwest Passages of the arctic region of Canada, this sculpture is made of serpentinite or soapstone. The stand is made of Caribou antler, as are the pins which attach the whale and calf together to the base.
